OVERVIEW
OVERVIEW

Hitting the ground with a running chainsaw can badly dull the chain in an instant. This combination peavy and log stand is great for easily rolling and moving logs, and for holding them off the ground for safe sawing. Hand-forged steel parts with maple hardwood handle. 3-1/2 feet long.

    Back saver, super useful tool

This tool is not only a chainsaw chain saver, and money saver . . . it's a back saver as well!

    It works

Not much to say. It's a simple tool that works as expected. The handle could be a bit longer to help lift heavy logs, otherwise it's as expected.

Q.IS the tip of the arm welded on or one piece?
Who is the manufacturer of this? Is the point on the end of the swing arm welded on to the arm, or one piece? I've had bad luck with a poorly designed and fabricated timberjack bought from another source (not DR products). The unit would just not grip a most logs, and the welded on tip broke off after only about a dozen or so uses. I'm not going there again...

A.The timberjack is made by Peavey MFG. Ther hook is one piece, forged steel, so the tip will never break off like the one you mentioned. This is a high quality tool. The wooden handle is also replaceable should it ever wear. If you would like to order one please give us a call. 1-800-550-0062. Thank you
