Easy Conversion
Switching from horizontal to vertical mode (or vice versa) takes only a few seconds. Just slip out a pin, rotate the unit, and re-insert pin to lock it into position. Lets you split those really big rounds without lifting the log onto the beam.
DR Engine
Easy-starting DR 6.2 HP engine powers the hydraulic pump. Warranted for 2 years in residential use (90 days commercial).
Rugged Hydraulics

Used the unit works great. Quiet plenty of power. I put a jack stand to move it around easy.

It was a big surprise to me that we had to assemble the machine. I did not see this on your website or catalog. We managed to get all the parts together with some advice from DR concerning forcing the log trays to fit. So far we have processed 2 trees and it seems to split easily and so far no injuries. I would give it 5 star but cannot because of limited use. Ask again next year and mention customer assembly in your brochures.FF

22 ton spliter
The 22 ton spliter is well built but is almost impossible to start in cold weather when it finally started after 2 hours it ran good and split wood fine day 2 it took 3 hours to start spliter worked good for 15 minutes than starter blowing hidrolic oil out of the resivor when I asked the dealer about the cold start he said all small engines are hard to start in the cold. I do most of my splitting in the cold other spliters I have had started mutch better in the cold.

Q.Log Splitter manufacture location
I had previously asked about the manufacturing location for the Rapid fire and duel action splitters. Are the DR still made in the USA, where are the manufacturing locations for the new Duel splitter and the new 22 Ton horizontal/vertical splitters?

Q.Does the 22 ton model's blade automatically return after splitting is completed?
A.Thank you for your inquiry. To begin the retraction of the ram it is necessary to push the lever into retract mode. Once there it will "lock" into place and the ram will automatically continue to retract until it reaches the end of the cycle, then the lever will spring back into the neutral position.
