It does what it is supposed to do
Excellent product
The guard is easy to mount and remove when not needed. It provodes the perfect amount of stand-off to prevent damage to trees and posts and such. This also helps to reduce trimmer line wear. I really appreciate this item, and highly recommend it.

This is a truly exceptional tool. I have a 30 acre farm with a 1/2 mile stream meandering through it. I wanted to re-establish a riparian zone along its banks. We planted 300 young trees and shrubs along the creek. This thing does a phenomenal job of giving my trees a good chance to establish themselves without being over run with grasses, etc. It starts super-easy. It runs smoothly. It has a great amount of reserve power to go through even the thickest patches of nettles and grasses that were choking out the saplings. I really like this product!
mounting bracket problem
Due to belt jumping off pulleys removing the mounting bracket has caused the one bolt hole threads to strip out.

Q.How do u put on the mounting plate on the trimsafe trimmer. The pic shows it mounted on top, but I cannot get the bolt off?

Q.Will guard 83216 work on a PILOT trimmer made after 2013? Your information re: this particular guard is confusing, stating it will only work on a Premier, or T2, T3 model, or other models made after 2013🤷🏼♂️
A.Thank you for your question. This listing is not compatible with the Pulse of Pilot TR4 models (made after 2013).
