The Struggle is Over!
Our lightest model, the PILOT is ideal for light-to-moderate conditions. At just 55 lbs. it is the lightest gas-powered Trimmer Mower on the market and is super-easy to maneuver. But the PILOT doesn't lack for muscle, and is guaranteed to dramatically outperform any handheld trimmer you can find.
An offset frame design allows the PILOT model to trim right up against foundations, fence lines and other obstacles with precise control. And with its low profile, you can easily reach underneath shrubs or fence stiles to clear out low growth.
We recommend the PILOT for continuous trimming and mowing (releasing the bail bar stops the engine). If you want the ability stop the trimmer head from spinning without shutting the engine down, step up to a PREMIER, PRO, or PRO XL.

Optional Beaver Blade for the big stuff
The optional Beaver Blade turns your trimmer into a chainsaw on wheels. Cuts trees up to 3" in diameter quickly and easily. It's the perfect way to take down stands of "weed trees" without bending over or dropping to your knees like you have to with a normal chainsaw.

Great investment
This trimmer mower outperforms any trimmer mower, very happy to replace my existing cub cadet trimmer mower, this DR trimmers doesn’t bog down, it literally cuts those weeds easy.
DR Pilot Trimmer
It took six weeks to get my trimmer but I understand in todays supply chain disaster. It was very easy to put together and started on the second pull (first pull after that). It is very easy to move through very heavy grass and tall weeds. I cannot be more pleased and would recommend this line of walk behind trimmer without hesitation.

It cuts down the weeds but leaves them whole, they’re not chopped up though,there just there to blow in the wind, if I had known that I would have gotten a lawnmower so everything is chopped up
Just right
I have some areas Where are my mower can’t reach. And I’ve been looking for one of these type of mowers for about a year so you can imagine what those areas look like by the time I got this mower it’s got the job done and I can’t believe I haven’t changed the trimmer line by now usually at this point I have to use maybe four that’s why I bought extra sets but I guess they will last a while. It Has a power I have been looking for for a quite a long time thanks
Dissapointment
This unit did not perform as advertised. I works great on grass if green and supple. As for weeds and/or drier grass -- nada. I need a trimmer to trim. The saw blade for brush is probably a good idea, but not around something that could be damaged. My gas trimmer did a better job with .095 string, but my back will no longer allow me to use it. Back to the drawing board.
Q.For the 2021 year model Pilot Trimmer Mower, what length of string cord is recommended? I find conflicting answers on the website. Is it 23" or 25"?
